After the job interview, you may remind the employer of yourself by writing a thank-you letter. Content of such a letter should relate to the topics moved during the interview. Because of that, it is a good idea to make a note from this event (e.g. directly after leaving the employer’s premises, so you do not forget what you were talking about).
In the letter, you need to highlight your interests in the work on the offered position, thank for the meeting and a possibility to discuss you candidature. Sending a thank-you letter allows to leave a good impression in the company. After several days after sending the letter, you may call the employer and ask if he got the letter, as well as tactfully check what your chances are.
- Place, date:
- Data of the sender (first and second name, address, telephone number);
- Data of the receiver (first and second name, department, name of the company, address of the company);
- A courteous form of address “Dear Sir/ Madam”;
- The main part of the letter including: reference to the meeting, a thank-you and expression of interest in the offered job position;
- A courteous form (“Yours faithfully”) and a manual signature.
