Wishes

Wishes are a form of occasional expression, written or spoken. They are given on the occasion of holidays, birthdays, name days, or important events in life (e.g., weddings). They can take the form of a letter, often written on greeting cards. Wishes can also be sent via email or SMS.

They should be written in a sincere, warm, heartfelt way. Wishes are an expression of the bond that connects the sender with the recipient. They are a sign that someone remembers them. That is why it is worth sending them. Especially one should not forget about elderly or lonely people.

The layout of wishes is an individual matter and often depends on the medium of communication (e.g., wishes sent via SMS do not require a date or signature).

Greeting to the recipient (e.g., “Dear Sir/Madam,” “Dear Tom!”);
The content of the wishes;
The phrase “wishes,” “sends wishes”;
